DROPPING OFF AND PICKING UP YOUR CHILD

Parents and Guardians:

For the safety and protection of your child and all students at Mike O’Callaghan MS, please follow the guidelines below while in the school zone:

1. Parents are to drop-off or pick-up their child at the curb on the main street in front of the school.
2. Access to the STAFF parking lot will only be granted by a school administrator to those with approved situations. Parent must then acquire a parking permit from the Deans’ Office.
3. Access to the parking lot will be from 8:10 AM to 1:45 PM. During these times you can access the parking lot for any school related business. (For drop-offs & pick-ups, revert to # 1.)
4. At no time should anyone enter the parking lot before or after the established time unless you have an appointment with school personnel.
5. NO U-Turns in the school zone in front of the school.
6. OBEY the speed limit.
7. STOP for crossing children.
8. STOP for ALL entering or exiting school buses.
9. STOP for students crossing on bicycles.
10. OBEY the directions of any school personnel.

Finally, please be patient. There are a lot of parents dropping-off or picking-up their child at the same time. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police will be around on occasion to cite those who fail to comply.
